A House

So, this blog has been asleep for a while.  I have tried to make several come backs with no true intention of following through.  I guess my mind has been more into my other blog "Becoming one of those..." because my daughter is my main focus these days and I have been placing the rest of my focus on school, so, this blog, which started as a playground or a collection of things I wanted and liked, became forgotten, oh, and of course, I found Pinterest, where I have been collecting EVERYTHING I find cool on the web.  Anyways, now the time has come for a new life project, and I think this is the best place to organize and comment and archive my ideas.  I am assuming Jonas wont be on board of ALL of the things that I want to do in this new house, but, at least here I can have some inspiration.

I am looking forward to starting fresh with a white canvas!  A house is a house, now, it's our job to make it our home, and that comes with the details!  I know for sure that there are some things that Jonas and I agree on, for example, we really like neutral colors as a base, and adding pops of color on here and there.  We like materials such as wool, linen, cotton, leather, glass, plants, fibers, metal.  We like light! We like vintage furniture and we appreciate good design.  And art, of course.  And we like balance.  So, this time around, simple will be definitely better.  We have come to realize, that after removing half of our things to sell this apartment, we liked it soooo much better, so, we will start with what we have, remove what we are not in love with and start that way.  Then fill out the gaps as we go.  But first, we do have some issues to address ASAP such as:

My God! Why would you do that to a house???  WHO IN THE WORLD LIKES THESE WALLPAPERS????? They have to go.  Go as soon as we arrive!  But, not before taking some fun pictures at the "beach" first.
Anyways, I love that these wallpapers are there, because it makes me "attack" them soon enough to see results.  Oh, and these too:

"Discotheque" closet doors!!!  Those will also go as soon as possible.

So there, here we are, only two days away from the big move.  Enjoying our little apartment that has see us grow into a family of two, then three and now four!  Jonas, Olivia, Rafa and me!
We will miss this place, and especially the neighborhood.  But, we are looking forward to new adventures and I can hardly wait to start.

Good bye dear friend.

Ozzy 13-10-2001/04-06-2012
Today is a very sad day for me and my family because we lost one of ours.  Ozzy, our dog for eleven years died today, and we will miss him every day.  For us, he wasn't only a dog, he was family, he was a companion.  I only with I had been in Costa Rica to say farewell.

I really have no more words.  Just I love you and I will miss you with all my heart, dear Ozzy.

Lately

New saldals!

At 10:43 pm a couple of nights ago.

The sun is shining in Bergen, so you'll forgive me if I don't blog these days as much.  Anyways, not that we have had the chance to enjoy it so much because Olivia has the flu.  She is getting out of it now, luckily, but we've had some rough days and nights.

I blame it on the lack of boob!  (But that is just me being silly).  I have stopped nursing, it just stopped naturally.  It happened a bit after Olivia's first birthday.  I miss it a lot, but we are embracing this new stage in her life.

She is almost walking, babbling a lot and imitating a lot as well.
So life is good.  I am done with my semester and have a long summer vacation ahead.  We will be moving into our new home in only a couple of weeks and we are enjoying these amazing days of summer.  Afternoons in the balcony, drinking a beer with Jonas after a long day, endless light, priceless.  And, that is exactly where I am headed right now.  To the balcony, with my husband while he grills some burgers and we have a cold beer.  On a WEDNESDAY!

Trula

This blog,  Trula:kids : the best source of inspiration for kids home made clothes.  Everything is great, the patterns, the fabrics, the ideas, the solutions!  What a clever gal!  And not only the ideas are great, but the photography and small glimpses of her life in Barcelona are also a treat . Not to mention her two adorable and cool red-head daughters that give life to the whole thing.  Make sure and check it out ;)

Oslo

Olivia and I went on a trip to Oslo to visit Nicca, Iben and Olav.  It was so much fun to see the girls "play" together.  In a way they did, they had their own communication and interaction.  I think they will really enjoy each other as time passes.  They already do!  Even though Iben is mostly frustrated that she can't move as much as Olivia and Olivia is mostly frustrated that she can't grab Iben harder!  They smile to each other, make sweet noises and imitate each others moves.  It's very cool to see how two little girls, that are completely different, develop!  Every single child has his or her own needs and the tricks that work with one might not work with the other.  It is amazing to see how their personalities are so clear from the beginning and how they know sort of what they want from so young.  These two are truly amazing.  Easy going, sweet, smart, happy, funny little girls!
